you can ignore mods and admins again... i have everyone on that 'blah' post ignored. even you and superDX

Hmm.. that's odd.. I must have modified the wrong file. :D I'll have a thorough look at it tonight and fix things. Thanks for letting me know.

Ok, finally got most problems sorted out. You can no longer ignore yourself. You can add mods and admins to your list but you will still see their posts.

I added the "Click here to return to topic" and that's about it.

I'll package everything this weekend and put it up.

is there a way for users to remove somebody from their own ignore list? I looked at the demo, and didn't see it, if it's there.

Could you make it so when you click to show the ignored message that a new window pops up, with just the post that was ignored in it? i believe that it would be much more convienient (well, it would to me, anyway)

There's an [x] at the very right. If you click it it will remove the name from the list.

Hmm.. I can do that too. I'll work on that for the next part.

MJ: glad the problem's fixed!

oh! cool. I see it now, thanks. Might I suggest that you add a label "remove" in the same table row as "These Users are in your Ignore List", above the X? For the dense ones among us (like me) ;-)

would it be possible (not asking for this just yet, just seeing if it can be done) to work an ignore'esque feature into the search? we have a forum on our BB that is just off topic and useless posting and we were looking for a way to keep that from being searched.

could it be done?

great mod. Everything seem to work as advertised.

I have a question, however. I add a link to ignore.php to overall_header.tpl. But everytime I click on the link, it asks to to login, even though I have already logged in. So, what's the best way for me to attach the sid to the link so that I don't have to log in everytime?

Here's how I currently link to the ignore.php:

Code: Select all

<a href= "ignore.php" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_ignore.gif" border=0 alt="Smilies"> Ignore List</a>
Thanks

Nevermind. I figured it out.

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN includes/page_header.php ]-------
#

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
'U_GROUP_CP' => append_sid('groupcp.'.$phpEx),

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------
#
'U_IGNORE' => append_sid('ignore.'.$phpEx),

#
#-----[ OPEN OPEN templates/subSilver/overall_header.tpl]-------
#

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
<a href="{U_PROFILE}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_profile.gif" width="12" height="13" border="0" alt="{L_PROFILE}" hspace="3" />{L_PROFILE}</a>

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------
#
&nbsp; &nbsp;<a href="{U_IGNORE}" class="mainmenu"><img src="templates/subSilver/images/icon_mini_ignore.gif" border=0 alt="Smilies"> Ignore List</a>
This will take care of the login check so you don't have to relogin everytime you click on the link to ignore.php.
