When you edit and htm page in file manager in cpanel, there is an option for page editor. There are 3 options > Design, html code and preview. Also in design, making a web-page is as simple as doing work on microsoft word. Please try to make it like that, it will rock then.....

Also I am waiting for multiple page option.

Can you make it so that the users webpage is like http://site.com/username
? That would be so much nicer than http://site.com/webpage.php?id=2

Just like http://mixposure.com/michael-lewis

It would require use of Apache, or htaccess files. I am not familar enough with either for the MOD to do this.

Man, I too have been away from this thread too long.

First, The Blog MOD has a brilliant setup where you can go right into your blog OR view all the site's blogs. I'd highly recommend using the same structure.

Username in URL - This was accomplished in The Blog MOD. I don't remember the exact coding but it's been done to where you could use both =userid & =username. A bit of code surfing should help out with that area.

Link to website - I've thought about this too (beyond what is said up top). You *could* put an additional button in viewtopic/entry in the profile below the website labeled "mysite". For those that use The Blog MOD, the code used for this could easily be added (perhaps even as contrib for one or the other).

I have already submitted it to the MOD DB for review, so I won't be adding any new features until after it has been accepted.

Yeah, I caught that from pages back. Just voicing an opinion over the most common feature requests.

Good luck with this submission & Merry Christmas :)

I noticed a couple of things wrong when I installed this mod. It may get denied for this (I know from experience, my mod has been denied about 4 times :)
I finally got it right though.
#1. includes/functions_website.php
the homepage images is hardcoded (/templates/CricketMX.com/images/icon_website.gif) the mod team doesn't like that, also, users would have to have the CricketMX.com template for the image to show up.
To fix it, do this:
FIND

Code: Select all

function display_site_link($user_id, $phpEx)
{
global $db;
change to

Code: Select all

function display_site_link($user_id, $phpEx)
{
global $db, images;
FIND

Code: Select all

else
		{
		$image_link = "<a href='" . append_sid("website.$phpEx?id=" . intval($user_id) . "") . "'><img src='/templates/CricketMX.com/images/icon_website.gif' border='0' /></a>";
		}
change to

Code: Select all

else
		{
		$image_link = "<a href='" . append_sid("website.$phpEx?id=" . intval($user_id) . "") . "'><img src='" . $images['icon_website'] . "' border='0' /></a>";
		}
In the install file add

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]--------------------------
#
templates/subSilver/subSilver.cfg
#
#-----[ FIND ]---------------------------
#
?>
#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]-------------------
#
//personal website image
$images['icon_website'] = "$current_template_images/icon_website.gif";
//personal website image

No prob. Anything I can do to help out :).
Also, it would be most awesome if you would add a version checker to your mod so we can keep up to date.
I just found out about it myself, and I really like it, mainly because it's so easy to add to the mod.

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=277654

what you would do is add a php file to your mod package called admin/avc_mods/avc_user_website.php
In that file you would put the current version number, and then you would and a link to a txt file on your website.
Then you would upload that txt file to your website with the current version that's available.

Then any forum owners that have AVC Installed on their board will be able to see when you have a new version out.

This will not affect any forum owners that don't have this installed.

It would be awesome if you could add that, I want to keep this mod updated on my forum.

Blessings
