It's getting too advanced for me now. What is that?
Ok, the function is in

Code: Select all

includes/functions_website.php
look for

Code: Select all

$image_link = "<a href='" . append_sid("website.$phpEx?id=" . intval($user_id) . "") . "'>
replace it with

Code: Select all

$image_link = "<a href='" . append_sid("website.$phpEx?id=" . intval($user_id) . "") . "' target='_blank'>

Seems we posted at the same time. Here is why it doesn't work in viewtopic.
In that same line this is the code you have.

Code: Select all

<img src='/templates/CricketMX.com/images/icon_website.gif' border='0' /></a>";
I'm sure you don't have the CricketMX.com template. In the latest version of this mod battye changed the CricketMX.com to the correct coding. I don't remember the the code to pull your current template, but, you could just put the name of your current template at the moment. so Instead of CricketMX.com it would be subSilver.

Works great now, just did the same thing to the code in usercp_viewprofile.php.

Another thing that bothers me (and this is the last one, I promise) right now is that the icon for the homepage is placed just after the other "original" homepage url i viewprofile. I would like to place the icon on the left side menu instead just below "ICQ number". I try to add {HOMEPAGE} and all other combinations but the icon just wont show up there.

p.s
GroovePlugs thank you for taking your time to help me. I greatly appreciate it.

Battye, here is a link to a website mod that is being built for integra mod. (a pre-modded phpbb forum) His website thing works like this:
http://www.spx2.net/im/hp.php?id=spx2
spx2 is his username.

http://www.spx2.net/img/hp.zip

He even has multiple pages on here. The only thing he doesn't have is html, his uses only bbcode.

Could you work from that?
Bummer he isn't making it for the regular phpbb forum, though if you need help figuring out some code (since integra mod uses Profile Control Panel and other differant codings) let me know. I'll be glad to help.

First I want to say I love this mod works great and has been problem free for me and my users.

I do want to echo some of what has been posted in the past.

Multiple pages.. hope thats top of the list in the next version.

I'd also have to agree that the combining of the website links and the homepage links has to be modified..they need to be 100% independent of each other, as it is now it makes tpl alterations difficult and messy.

Additionally I think there needs to be a seperate page that just lists the Member pages that have been created..its just too cumbersome to expect people to scan through page after page of the member list or go to each members profile.

I have incorporated the user toolkit mod to allow for members image uploads..and I added a java color picker feature too to make it a little easier on the members to create their pages but its not a perfect soultion.
I'm still working on tightening all that up together into a more user friendly interface, but it works for now.

I know a WYSIWYG editor would be perfect for this but, the java is beyond my skills, hopefully it does make it into the mod at some point though.

So basically thats my 2 cents on the subject...but again I do want to say thanks for this mod and I'm anixously awaiting further additions to this mod :)

In the future I plan to totally rewrite this MOD (to include the multiple pages etc) with options to have it by username as well (so you could have website.php?u=username).

I hope to start this once the Ultimate Quiz MOD is in the MOD DB :)

Ok, I just looked over the install file and HOMEPAGE is not currently defined for viewprofile.php I'll figure this one out tomorrow, it's easy, I'm just too tired right now.

Sorry, I forgot about this...Try this

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------
#
includes/usercp_viewprofile.php
#
#-----[ FIND ]-------------------------
#
'WWW' => $www,
#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]-----------------
#
'HOMEPAGE' => $homepage_link,
Then you should be able to put
{HOMEPAGE} anywhere in the profile template

Let me know if that works.
