MOD Title: BugTrac
MOD Description: A Bug Tracking Software that intergrates with phpBB and allows Mod Authors/Software Developer's a easy to use BugTracker that is intergrated with phpBB all admined from one spot. With a prmissions system.
MOD Version: 0.0.0

Being A Software Developer, I find it harder and harder to find a way to stay organized on bugs. I've tried other bug tracking software, but none reall spark my intrest. What i'm proposing is a Mod that ties in to phpbb, which allows users to post bugs, and an Admin can review each bug in turn and assign a Open/Pending/Resolved/Not Applicale status to it. This can also side track as a todo list, a feature request tracker also. Althought the first release my be lacking premissions other then basic user posting and Admin editing. I plan on having a heavy premissions system intergrated in to it. Like assiging groupsModerators over the bugtracker.

Features Planned: (Admin Side)
Editable Bug Catagories
Editable Bug Status
Add Notes on Status Change (Viewable to Everyone)
Usage Statistics (# Of Total Bugs, # of Open Bugs, etc )
Premissions System (Future Release)

Features Planned: (User Side)
Users can post bugs:
Users can not edit bugs:
Users get PM on bug update of status:

This is planed to be very versatile. The way I have it in mind, is that it will be able to be used as a bugTracker, or if you want a FeatureTracker for request, or even a TODO List so people will know the progress. It will be able to be used as one. (With some changes to lang entries and file names that is. )

Feature Request are welcome. Any feedback/Idea's/and questions are welcome too.[/url]

Sounds great. This would definately be handy with bugs submitted for my own projects.

Can't wait to see the development on this.

UPDATE: Posted a Work In Progress Demo Link on the frist Post.

Necessary_Evil: Yes I find something like this quite handy also seeing that I am constanly writing code for various things, not to mention I am a Win32 Software Developer so, having something that is accessible online means that when I can bring my work home, I dont have to bring a notebook's with it. :)

Thats what I hope. Like I stated I currently do software developeing and i've tried varius BugTraq Systems, bugzilla and what not. Even turned a peice of Helpdesk software into a bug tracking software. Just nothing really ties in well to phpbb, the helpdesk software did in a way. Basically it just linked to it, but did not provide a common userbase. Mean the users had to log in twice to post something or reveie something. Very aggervating having seperate admin panels also...

With that stated, i'm open to feature request. I'm working on making the templates first...lol which I know is ass backwards but I feel that making the templates helps you develop the lang files also, which in truth is less "Real Text" hunting in the code at the end replacing stuff with it's apporite lang entries

UPDATE: This is turning out to be a big mod lol....

Anyways i've Had to split some files, as I was trying to do it all with 2 files, one class, and one page. But it seems the bugtrac.php page is already 3000 lines lol. So i'm spliting them to bugtrac.php and bugtrac_manage.php. I'll up date the test server in a few days with an updated copy. Then I need to start filling in the entires so I can work on pagenation.

Anyone good with photoshop? I need some images made.

I'll make them myself if I get no response but it will probally be the last thing I do....not to mention it's been ages since i've touched photoshop.

Anywayes here's what I need:

Image - I need 5 images of the same size as this

Except I need them to look like orbs, of different color to represent the stats.

Green - Open
Red - Resolved
Orange - Pending
Purple - Closed/Non Bug
Blue - Just need it for an extra one.

I also need a conversion of the New Topic button that says New Bug.

If anyone don't mind. I'd appreaite it and credit will be givin in the mod file and top post.

I'm still alive.

Work on this mod will continue as soon as everything quites down around the office. I live in Louisiana so the last 2 months have been busy due to the hurricanes. And then family problems before that, but dont worry i'll be bouning back soon.

Montana - Those images will work nicely, ty, it's been years since i've done any photoshop.

Stay Tuned.
