My browser wants to download the index.php file when I specify index.php?type=xhtml or index.php?type=wap Is there some module I have to add to php or apache to support those two?

This mod works fine when i use the index.php?type=html flag.

If a web browser supports one file type, such as .html in your case, it will open this file; if a browser does not support one file type, such as .wml and .xhtml in your case, it will download this file. Both your server and browser do the right thing, you need not add any other module.

So, from the user view point, use "index.php?type=xhtml" when his/her browser supports xHTML; otherwise, use "index.php?type=wap" when browser supports WAP; otherwise, use "index.php?type=html" when HTML.

I asked some folks who had PDA's and internet cell phones to check the site using the mobile url and they came back with errors so I was trying to see if it was server sided on the wap and xhtml. I have asked them to send me the exact error but havent seen it yet.

There are some free WAP simulator in the internet, which make you do mobile access from your Windows environment -- you need not buy a mobile before using my module.

I get the following error when using the following wap emulator.
Wrong mime-type, I got text/html; charset=UTF-8, but I want text/vnd.wap.wml.
This error occurs when you request a page that is not a WAP page, or when the webserver isn't set up correctly for hosting WAP sites

This is using Apache 2.0.50

I found this page http://www.pcquest.com/content/technology/101030101.asp and it lists what items to have in your mime config part of httpd.conf and I have all the settings as listed for apache.

I will try to make it. I know picture and tone are important to mobile user. While, I can not promise the schedule.

I've just discovered this mod and it looks really good. However, after I've
tried to install it, following the readme step for step, I only get a blank page
when it's finished:

Any ideas? Thanks

I am sorry I try to solve this problem last week but I failed.

The static Hello World WAP and xHTML page work on this web site, but the dynamic/php WAP xHTML page do not work. neox3 confirms the web server does not support WAP and xHTML. While, I still do not understand why the HTML page can not be displayed.

It seems this web site does not like my code.

@rickey29: What are the main differences between yours and the phpbbtogo
mod? phpbbtogo works on my server for some reasons... :?

Hi.

What do I need to modify to get MO to list more than six threads at one time? I'd prefer more like 20 per page or so before I have to click next.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

OPEN
var.php
FIND

Code: Select all

$mo_var['row_size'] = 6;
REPLACE WITH

Code: Select all

$mo_var['row_size'] = 20;
You can change other size parameters in this file, such as window size. I will add your question to my FAQ.

Fantastic! Thanks!

Now how can I make it so that I can view all posts in a specific thread? As is, I have to click Next to see each response. I'd like the whole thread on one page.

Many thanks again!
