I got this working on my forum with the older Categories hierarchy and Profile Control Panel [http://rpgnet.clanmckeen.com/demo/viewforum.php?f=26 and http://rpgnet.clanmckeen.com/demo/viewforum.php?f=40]

Areas I had to change to make work with HC and Profile Control Panel

Instead of Doing these

Finding
$template->assign_block_vars('topicrow', array(
in viewforum.php

Finding
$sql = "SELECT u.username, u.user_id, u.user_posts, u.user_from, u.user_website, u.user_email, u.user_icq, u.user_aim, u.user_yim, u.user_regdate, u.user_msnm, u.user_viewemail, u.user_rank, u.user_sig, u.user_sig_bbcode_uid, u.user_avatar, u.user_avatar_type, u.user_allowavatar, u.user_allowsmile, p.*, pt.post_text, pt.post_subject, pt.bbcode_uid
in viewtopic.php

Finding
<td class="row1" width="100%"><span class="topictitle">{topicrow.NEWEST_POST_IMG}{topicrow.TOPIC_TYPE}<a href="{topicrow.U_VIEW_TOPIC}" class="topictitle">{topicrow.TOPIC_TITLE}</a></span><span class="gensmall"><br />
in viewforum_body.tpl

Code: Select all

#-----[ OPEN ]----------------------------------------
#

functions_topics_list.php

#
#
#-----[ FIND ]----------------------------------------
#

		'ROW_CLASS'				=> ($color || !defined('TOPIC_ALTERNATE_ROW_CLASS')) ? 'row1' : 'row2',

#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]----------------------------------
#
			'TOPIC_DESCRIPTION' => htmlspecialchars($topic_rowset[$i]['topic_description']),

#

#-----[ OPEN ]----------------------------------------
#
topics_list_box.tpl
#

#-----[ FIND ]----------------------------------------
#
# NOTE: This is a limited search, real line much longer
#

		<span class="topictitle">{topics_list_box.row.NEWEST_POST_IMG}

#
#-----[ FIND, IN LINE ]----------------------------------------
#

{topics_list_box.row.TOPIC_TITLE}</a></span><span class="gensmall">

#
#-----[ADD AFTER IN LINE]----------------------------------------
#

<br />{topics_list_box.row.TOPIC_DESCRIPTION}

#

#-----[ OPEN ]----------------------------------------
#
viewtopic.php
#

#-----[ FIND ]----------------------------------------
#

$sql = "SELECT u.*, p.*,  pt.post_text, pt.post_subject, pt.bbcode_uid

#

#
#-----[ FIND, IN LINE ]----------------------------------------
#

, pt.bbcode_uid

#
#-----[ADD AFTER IN LINE]----------------------------------------
#

, pt.post_description

#
FYI - there a lot of other find and replaces that will not work do to many of the MOD's that I have installed. I suggest doing a limited search on all the SQL changes and then add the new SQL information. It is a pain to do but not that hard.

As a suggestion to the Author, I suggest you change your install text to use as much as possiable find limited line, find in line and add after in line statements. Since doing a find/replace becomes very hard after users add many mods to their forums.

Well, it is different and a bit better, mostly since it use language files. I just switch to the one in the above link.
