Due to a server downtime i can't complete my last testings on alpha2, but i'll release second alpha as soon as possible.
Included in this new package are:
*no html needed anymore
*bugfixes
*previewing your typed message

but on this moment there are still some issues with previewing a message, and also private messaging is not completely working fine too ... :)

Hi,

Great stuff. Congrats.

Just a small comment:

On your MOD install script:

function safe_post($string) {

$tmpString = $string;

if($userdata['user_wysiwyg'] { <---- Missing ")"

$tmpString = trim($string);

if ($tmpString == "") {

and

#

#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------

#

templates/subSilver/posting_body.php <------ should be "tpl"

Cheers

Lol, i knew, that's already solved in alpha2, but in that version there are still incompabilities with the previewing :(
I'm trying to solve that, but haven't found something stupid yet ... :?

I have just released alpha2 ...
Take a look at starting post of this topic:
WYSIWYG Mod Alpha2

Some new features:
*Printing the post you typed (maybe that looks stupid :P )
*About 17 or 18 bugfixes
*no HTML required anymore!
*Copy-cut-paste enabled
*Installable with easyMod

I removed a lot of features too, because there is no official bbcode for in phpBB, like subscript/superscript.

Also size is not yet enabled, because there were some issues I couldn't solve immediatly, i'm searching this out now, but about that i can't promise anything yet :wink:

If you guys like a testing board, i will create quickly one :)

I also got a little question, when I validated the install.txt at the MOD Validator, it gave the error that i was not allowed to use the "font" tag. I also wasn't using this, it was a part of my HTML to BBCode convertor function ... will this mod never get validated (because that font thing is absolutely required, else all Internet Explorer users cant use the mod ...) ? :mrgreen:

Yeah printing is indeed a bit stupid :wink:
Superscript and subscript are just the things I need! I see no reason why to remove them just because there are no bbcodes for them!

A testing board would be great!
good job!
