CHECK AGAIN PLZ!

Post by gogo1 » Fri Sep 15, 2006 1:00 pm

I did not see that code in the file you posted - and I have checked it carefully.

check the code of the file found on your server maybe it is different than the one you check on your hard drive... :)

a guess- table modification.

Post by gogo1 » Tue Sep 19, 2006 1:04 am

I can only guess (i am not a php programmer so...)
that ur mod messed up with the data base of a table containing the user_id information.

u have to check the table phpbb_users and find if the number "-1" is missing or altered in the first row where in field username Anonymous is found,

after the = at the end of the line, the sql statments expects user id (default nuber for guests found at the table: )
when unlogged user trys to see a weblog owner friends list.

Code: Select all

SELECT * FROM phpbb_weblog_friends WHERE friend_id =
sould be something like:

SELECT * FROM phpbb_weblog_friends WHERE friend_id = -1
maybe that is why it says "SQL Error"
does a similar error happen also when an unlogged user clicks on a Contributor or a Blocked users ?

Exacty!

Actualy I found the problem shortly after posting here... Retracing my steps over the last few weeks and looking at the last person to sign up (as the probblem was also erroring the signup). I found that it is not any of the mods but when I deleted all the inactive accounts and non-posting accounts I also deleted the Anonymous acount "-1".

Thanks for your reply if I wouldnt have fixed it would have been enough to point to the users table.

Thanks

I meesed my db for u in purpes and got same error

Post by gogo1 » Tue Sep 19, 2006 1:33 am

I understand now that any attempt of you to see any blog or blog entries is giving you errors in the form of:

Error querying to find user weblog information

DEBUG MODE

SQL Error : 1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

SELECT * FROM phpbb_weblog_contributors WHERE weblog_id = 0 AND user_id =
Line : 116
File : weblogs_news.php

.....friend_id =

I tested my own db and wrote 0 instead of -1 in the:
Table________ Row 1_______ Field
phpbb_users -> Anonymous -> user_id
_____________________________________________________

and I got the same errors like u did.
check the instruction of your "points MOD" or find where the SQL statement is altering data in the above field/table and that is where u r going to find the mistake u did or the MOD did!!
Shalom :D (goodbye in hebrew)

Post the issue on to the blog mod support forum.

The Author is there most of the time working on the code.

I must say, that I installed it 1st time (Manually) and have had no issues at all.

It works well with the My Profile Space Mod..

DarthSpader wrote: The problem I'm having is with the Blog CP in the overall_header.tpl.

When I 1st created my blog, I titled the Blog Name: Darth's Blog.

"Darth's Blog" then appeared on everyone's profile as the name of their blog, even tho they never had a blog. (Actually, the Link in their profile points to my blog.)

??????

The next user that created a blog titled their Blog Name: Susan's Blog.

Now it show's "Susan's Blog" on everyone's profile, including mine.

Why does This Happen???

Should.........

Code: Select all

Blog Name:
Description:

Reply Privileges:

Replies Label:
Post a Reply Label:
Number of Entries on Main Page:

be accessible to everyone???

Or should the users Blog CP start with the "Look & Feel" panel???

How do you correct this???

OK

u have 3 important fields in the configuration panel of The Blog Mod in the ACP.

The first two are the relevant to your issue:

Default Blog Name
Using "%s" will replace itself with the owner's name instead

__________________________________________________________

Default Blog Description
Using "%s" will replace itself with the owner's name
instead

___________________________________________________________

Note that the fields of each Description must include the %s variable which will be replaced with the user's (owner of the blog) name. check n see if instead of the %s u have your name it "Darth's Blog" or other specific name - and correct it to the format of:

%s's Blog

*please tell me if it is corrected with a [solved] at your reply subjuct.

2 files to check

Post by gogo1 » Tue Sep 19, 2006 12:00 pm

1. check includes/usercp_viewprofile.php
2. weblogs/templates/any-teplate-style/weblog_header.htm

search for weblog...

more of the solution in about 4-5 hours when i get back from work :)

btw - user should be able to change blog's name according to The Blog Mod orientation...

I too think it should be disabled....

Also, another thing I've noticed is that "Most Recent Updated Blogs by " on the index page doesn't display anyone. Any thoughts on that?
