[DISC] Ban Suite (previous Extenend ban manager) (MMW)

Post by Paul » Wed Oct 26, 2005 9:53 am

This is the development thread for ban suite(The previous version has called extended ban manager) version 2.0. In this thread will ONLY version 2.0.0 be supported, for support for version 1.0.0 is the original thread. I will support both versions. (Original topic: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=311996).
New feateres in version 2.0.0:
  • AJAX support at admin ban panel, so you can faster add bans. 100%
  • Main admin block100%
  • Moderator ban panel.*100%
  • Report function.*95%
  • Forum ban function75$
  • Complete rewrite of admin_user_ban.php.100%(It is a little bit more I think :))
  • Permission system for modorator ban panel.10%
  • Permissions for report function.100%
  • Configuration for ban panel.100%
  • And maybe other :)
Why a new name? Because the are so much new functions, and options, I think it is a complete new mod. This is the reason I will also support version 1.0.x.

When comes there a relaese?
When I have finished the main things. At this moment, there are 10 new files, and 8 modified files, but I must write the most things. The report functions works, but I must write the assign, and open close functions. For the mod ban panel, I must begin on it, but I think I can use functions from admin_user_ban.php.

Can I upgrade from version 1.0.x?
Yes, there will be a upgrade script for it when the first release come.
* = You can enable or disable this function at acp.

Alpha 1:
Alpha 1 released.

With this first release, you can test some new featers of ban suite. Not every featere is yet ready, but the most things are ready. Don't install this mod in a live forum, only install it at a test forum, so you can test this mod.
If you have a bug, post it here in this topic, are send my a PM.

Have you guys thought of putting a Ban stat on the memberslist? Would be a thing to think about. I have that tracker of Meither's(Not the tracker Mod) and with the tracker stat on the memberslist, members can see all the stat's. which then raise flags to them why is this guy still on the memberslist? With a column "Banned" the user can then see that the user was banned and there for telling other user's also there's 0 tolerence for excuses.

What do you think?

Damn that was a quick reply..

Ok where is that ban list? in the ACP?

Why the CVS for Really Coding Traffic Statistics, and not Paulscriptsmods?
