Well I think I got all the bugs out well most of them. But I think it is the most stable this mod has even been. I'm going to submit it today or tomorrow.

Hi,

Please change your topic prefix back to what it was, even if it was submitted. ;-) [RC] would do as it obviously was stable enough to be submitted to the MODDB.

Thanks.

How long does this process normally take for a MOD like this?

To install it?? It takes about 30-60 minutes to install depeneding on your skill level.

I still have not heard a word about it getting into the database

Why sue ajax for the drop down menus on names? This can be done using DHTML.

As for the install, sorry to ask but where are the install intructions? I have been using vBulletin for awhile now and am very pleased to see ajax being worked on here.

Italian translations will be ready in a few days. I'm waiting for the approval!

I would love to see ajax used for several things,

Editing Posts - This way it edits the post in-line so to speak without a page load. Users can double click to edit the message.

Adding a quick reply hack with your AJax mods. Thus enabling users quick replied message to slide right into place under the last post in a thread, no page loads again.

I have a few others that I cant think of at the moment.

The idea of doing things AJAX is great, but I think I don't like this implementation. It is hidden and regular users probably can't figure most of it out. Double clicking doesn't work at all imo. It should be made more visible. Kind of a shame phpBB's default style doesn't allow much playing around on viewtopic with this, all "free space" already conquered for something.

I agree it isn't the best implementation.
It is hidden and regular users probably can't figure most of it out.

They wont need to for most. The preview functions will show automatically upon clicking preview. Users may not know it will pop up above the post/PM, it just will. Same goes for the poll option, and the predict a users name for PM.

Most of these will just happen when a user goes to use the feature as they normally would.
Double clicking doesn't work at all imo. It should be made more visible.

It literally didn't work on the test site for me, nor did a majority of the features, but I disagree, the double click work great and while something like that, and the lock topic may not be obvious, all that is needed is a quick tutorial from the admins in a mod room. I did this on my previous vBulletin forums.

Thank you all for the comments. I still don't know if this mod is expectable for the database. I'm starting to think that I might have forgot the hit the sumbit button. :(

Well anyways, this weekend I have alot of time on my hands and I have improved the userlists. No you can you use the arrow keys to navigate through the users :)

Up Arrow = To go up through the userlist
Right Arrow = Close the userlist
Left Arrow = Go back to the orginal text you had. ex: you typed m but your text field is like matt. it well change it back to m
Down Arrow = To go down thrugh the userlist

DEMO: http://ajaxed.glitchvault.com/dev/search.php (Search for Author)

I'll get it up for download asap.

Good thing about version 2.0.4 is you dont need to edit any files just replace a few files :)
