it's by a guy called bananeweizen and named "map mod". the problem is, that the mod seems to be abondoned and contains some unfixed bugs. furthermore it is not suitable for bigger forums. if you want the user to set their position by entering a city however, it definitely is the better choice.

Any thoughts on adding auto-discovery of geo-location based on IP address lookups like this implementation for vBulletin?

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/usermap.php

It lists guests and even spiders. Now that is cool...

thats mainly a matter of what datasources you feed into the map. currently i am not planning on implementing such a feature. however I have only a very short roadmap ahead and am open for any suggestions. thanks for that link by the way. I was not aware that something like this is existing.

Dont quite get that ^^

Today I put version 0.2.1 on the website (http://jonemo.de/atlasmod/v021/). It includes a bug fix, an importer for userdata from Bananeweizen's Mapmod and a new link.

As usual: Please report any problems here or in the dedicated forum at http://jonemo.de/atlasmod/forum/

jonemo,

I got it working on my other forum. I'm not sure why it didn't work earlier :?

One great thing I would like to see is the ability for a member to add a small picture of themself above their profile link within the bubble :D

Any chance of in the next version, being able to register-protect the map.php page. My members don't want non-users to be able to see where they are.
