this is why so many people use easy mod installer. typos and pasting stuff into the wrong place happens quite often and with easymod installer they dont happen at all

1. How to change a marker (the form and color)
2. At change of coordinates, it is necessary that on an opening map current coordinates have noted been by a marker (with the text " your current position ")

Post by GJUK » Fri Jan 27, 2006 5:49 pm

hi all, heres a little more detail on the problem.

in my code on usercp_viewprofile

I have a line:

Code: Select all

	'L_SEARCH_USER_POSTS' => sprintf($lang['Search_user_posts'], $profiledata['username']), '</a>')
in the mod it says:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#

includes/usercp_viewprofile.php

#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#

$search = '<a href="' . $temp_url . '">' . sprintf($lang['Search_user_posts'], $profiledata['username']) . '</a>';

#
#-----[ AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#

// Begin AtlasMod
if ($userdata['session_logged_in'] && is_numeric($profiledata['user_long']) && is_numeric($profiledata['user_lat']) && ($profiledata['user_long'] != 0 || $profiledata['user_lat'] != 0))
{
	if ($userdata['user_long'] != 0 && $userdata['user_lat'] != 0)
	{
		include_once($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/atlas_functions.php');

		if ($board_config['atlas_distance_unit'] == 'mi')
		{
			$distance = to_miles(calculate_distance($userdata['user_long'], $userdata['user_lat'], $profiledata['user_long'], $profiledata['user_lat']));
		}
		else
		{
			$distance = to_kilometer(calculate_distance($userdata['user_long'], $userdata['user_lat'], $profiledata['user_long'], $profiledata['user_lat']));
		}

		$distance = $lang['GMap_distance'] . ': ' . $distance;
		$distance_link = append_sid($phpbb_root_path. 'atlas.php?mode=distance&u=' . $profiledata['user_id']);
	}
	else
	{
		$distance = sprintf($lang['Atlas_Show_user_on_map'], $profiledata['username']);
		$distance_link = append_sid($phpbb_root_path. 'profile.' . $phpEx . '?mode=editprofile');
	}

	$template->assign_block_vars('switch_show_distance', array());
}
// End AtlasMod

now the above was the nearest i coudl find...

but its not working :(

please help

Jon

my little update:

edit includes/atlaslib.js
find

Code: Select all

GMap.prototype.gLargeMapControl = null;
GMap.prototype.gSmallMapControl = null;
GMap.prototype.gSmallZoomControl = null;
GMap.prototype.gMapTypeControl = null;
add after:

Code: Select all

var icon = new GIcon();
icon.image = "https://camo.phpbb.com/9d751f032260279f434b1369bde3263b83d67c1b/687474703a2f2f6c6162732e676f6f676c652e636f6d2f7269646566696e6465722f696d616765732f6d6d5f32305f677265656e2e706e67";
icon.shadow = "http://labs.google.com/ridefinder/images/mm_20_shadow.png";
icon.iconSize = new GSize(12, 20);
icon.shadowSize = new GSize(22, 20);
icon.iconAnchor = new GPoint(6, 20);
icon.infoWindowAnchor = new GPoint(5, 1);
find:

Code: Select all

	var marker = new GMarker(point);
replace

Code: Select all

	var marker = new GMarker(point, icon);
Image --> icon.image = "http://labs.google.com/ridefinder/image ... _green.png";
Image --> icon.image = "https://camo.phpbb.com/e5aef3087f81cd9025d27a7b590dcdf66b58720a/687474703a2f2f6c6162732e676f6f676c652e636f6d2f7269646566696e6465722f696d616765732f6d6d5f32305f7265642e706e67";

Two things... First... It'd be awsome if you updated the first post when you released a new version. I just now found 0.2.1 :-D

Second. I've fixed the bug with ppl losing cords when editing their profile. It usually only happens when you edit your profile then go into the avatar gallery and select an image or uploading an avatar image.

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
includes/usercp_register.php
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
	display_avatar_gallery(
#
#-----[ IN-LINE FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
);
#
#-----[ IN-LINE BEFORE, ADD ]---------------------------------
#
, $user_long, $user_lat
#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------------
#
includes/usercp_avatar.php
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
function display_avatar_gallery(
#
#-----[ IN-LINE FIND ]----------------------------------------
#
)
#
#-----[ IN-LINE BEFORE, ADD ]---------------------------------
#
, $user_long, $user_lat
#
#-----[ FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
	$params = array(
#
#-----[ IN-LINE FIND ]----------------------------------------
#
);
#
#-----[ IN-LINE BEFORE, ADD ]---------------------------------
#
, 'user_long', 'user_lat'
Outside of that little bug which I included the fix for this is a great mod and thanks for creating it!!! Keep up the great work!!!

To change the font color, simply add this line of code somewhere in your template .css file. Change the color # to suit your needs..

#map a {color:#000000}

I have done some major changes to my Atlas Mod but they may not be completley in terms of the Google Maps.

I added search for location support when adding your location. It parses output from google maps for the lat and long. Seems to work for both postcoes/zip and normal locations.

I did a few other peices. I meged in KML support based on code that someone else posted here.

Added to the view map a list of all currently loaded markers with roll over support to open up infowindow. Also all info windows have mini maps added.

This is all private to me but if someone want the code i can pass though.

So are you going to incorporate these changes into a new version? I'd love to see this mod continue to grow.

Keep up the good work!
