Updating to version 1.0.5:

- Overwrite existing files

DELETE FROM phpbb_config WHERE config_name = 'admin_notes'

You may also want to backup your global notes before updating for they will be erased

If you are running a version lower than 1.0.5, you will not see that the version of the mod is outdated because my host disabled file_get_contents from remote server for security reasons. This is fixed in version 1.0.5

PikachuMayhem, Update to version 1.0.5 and run this in MySQL:

ALTER TABLE `phpbb_config` CHANGE `config_value` `config_value` VARCHAR( 255 )

What that will do is undo the query that you executed before. Now instead of having the global notepad in the config table and either have a char limit of 255 or have it screw other things up, the global notepad it stored in the users table in the same column as the personal notepad, but in the guest row. So that should fix everything up.

If you installed version 1.0.5 prior to this message, run this in mySQL:

ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_admin_notes TEXT NULL DEFAULT NULL;

If you don't registrations will not work.

Just a suggestion, but would it be possible to allow certain HTML tags (and maybe an option to allow/disallow) to be posted in the notepad?

Also, maybe a "Moderator Notepad", so that you can send messages for Adimins & Mods in the Mod CP.

I dont know how that would work in a textarea.

This is more of an upgrade of the admin panel than a notepad mod. Im pretty sure that one of the notepad mods have that feature.

Problem: I am getting this message when I try to go back to the Forum Index.

Please ensure both the install/ and contrib/ directories are deleted

I deleted the install but I can't find a contrib and I can get to the admin index but nothing else now.

I always like to have a forum for staff only, and just change the permissions so that only moderators and admins have access to it.
