[RC] Show forum ID

Post by medialdesign » Mon Apr 17, 2006 1:56 am

I think that was something missing from phpBB. This small mod adds a tooltip on the forum links in the forum CP that tell you the ID of the forum. Here it is :

Code: Select all

##############################################################
## MOD Title: Show forum ID
## MOD Author: Blaise Bernier - www.medialdesign.com
## MOD Description: Add a tooltip with the forum ID to the forum CP links
## MOD Version: 0.1
##
## Installation Level: Easy
## Installation Time: ~1 Minutes
## Files To Edit:
## admin/forum_admin_body.tpl
## admin/admin_forums.php
##
##############################################################
## Before Adding This MOD To Your Forum, You Should Back Up All Files Related To This MOD
##############################################################

                                'FORUM_ID' => $forum_rows[$j]['forum_id'],

You may want to read the MOD Development Forum Instructions since you're new at this. :-) The topic that you're using [REL] is not allowed, as it implies that the code is released and final. What you probably want is [RC] which stands for "Release Candidate". At some point you'll submit to the MOD-DB (MOD-Database) and if / when approved you'll get a new topic in the MOD Releases area, at which point this topic will be locked. So that's a quick review, but you should probably read the topic I linked, it helps you understand the process better.

Good luck with your project. 8)
