You should change the true/false sections to check boxes. Otherwise there is a possiblity of human error.

Okay, I'll give it a shot as-is. I wonder if there's an easy way to ban the IP when a spam registration is detected.
BTW, the wordlist at
http://www.phpbbinstallers.com/bad_words.php may be too restrictive! I tried to post to my board right after installing those words, and my post got rejected. I couldn't figure out what word it was complaining about. I disabled the parts of your mod that deal with posts as a workaround.
If you're interested,
here is the rejected post, posted after I disabled the word filters.
Lmcboy,
if you update to the latest version you can set up a usergroup and put all users in that group.
All usergroup members will be free of the antispam function

I will
Currently the settings you see are in a php config file so this is 1 step better.
However this release will be after I'm back from my vacations and I'll add some checks like the true / false thing and a nice usergroup dropdown so you don't have to check wich group id it was you needed to fill in ..
Have a nice one !

I have a suggestion for this:
I would like to see something that checks post content based on post count. Spammers hit and run; register and post, then leave.
Therefore, ideally, it would be nice to check the actual post content and reject it only if its "spammy" AND the user has a post count less than a certain number -- in my case I would settle for 2.
This would essentially negate the neccessity for groups, since long term members would more than likely have already met the post count quota.

will be packed in the next release!
users who have at least x posts and are y days active
x posts only is not enough, some spammers post 10 msgs and leave..
many thanks for the suggestion!
edit: and its there ! check version 1.1.6
in the meantime:
Have lots of members? add them all whitin seconds:

Thanks for the MOD, but it did NOT work for me.
#
#-----[ BEFORE, ADD ]-----------------------------------
#
// Ramon Fincken, antispam
// V 1.1.6
// Phpbbinstallers.com
include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_antispam.'.$phpEx);
This section caused the CONFIRMATION CODE to stop working. When I disabled the above mentioned line, then the entire registration page would not appear. It was just blank.
Another problem was in the control panel.
the first option did work, but the 2nd and 3rd options did nothing.

Ramon,
I neglected to mention that I have added many anti-spam MODs. It could be there there is a conflict with another MOD.

Ramon,
Thank you.
When you contact me, please let me know how can I temporarily disable the limit on the number of registration attempts. Its really hard to debug this problem if I keep getting locked out of the registration page. I had to go around looking for other computers.

ACP >> general config
bypass: use another browser and close the window, re-open the browser and you have a new 'session'

I installed 1.1.6, and get this error when clicking 'Word list' in the control panel.
Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /usr2/home/<removed>/htdocs/forum/includes/template.php(127) : eval()'d code:1) in /usr2/home/<removed>/htdocs/forum/includes/functions.php on line 899
Any ideas? Also
'Spam database' and 'Management' give me the same screen.
