And finally, a simple robot.txt file that does help occasionally with known spambots, all you need to do with this file is just upload to your root directory. http://phpbb.insyderonline.com/robots.txt (4.50kb)

Thx. I've added a manual and all addresses comma seperated:
http://www.phpbb-de.com/filter.php?spammers=display

Has someone an english screenshot of the ip and email ban fields in the acp (original subSilver, please)

Update:
I won't change the mod regarding ip banning. If you want to use the ban feature you need to add the addresses manually. I've found out, that the page generation with 500+ banned ip addresses takes to much time. Sorry.

A solution is to add a whitelist before the banlist starts.

Or I check the ban ips if someone registers or a guest want to access posting.php. Any comments?

Well I had done some searching online before I ended up finding this thanks to a friend and I came across a site that gave 6555 known spam domains and whatnot so here they all are. They already have the commas and whatnot so just select all, copy, and paste. I hope this helps cut down a few bots >.>'

Most of your list are pure overkill, yet I'm missing at least:

After listening to problems with SPAM, examining several lists, decided to tighten the gap by simply banning various combinations of dot info and dot org, since they seem to generate the bulk of junk, Mindblower! 8)

Maybe someone should set up a web service where spammer domains can be submitted, verified, and added to a database like this? And then automatically provided as bans and SQL searches?

I really like what's going on here, BTW.

I hope I am not out of topic.
The best way i found is "security by obscurity". I installed a custom freecap 1.4 authorisation, and its 100% bot proof, at the moment.

I am an Estonian and I use hot.ee free mailservice in Estonia.
Is this really true, that spammers use *@hot.ee e-mail address?
