Yes, it's possible, but a little complicated... imo it's not worth it, as a user can have very many notes...

So is the following possible now??

Admins & moderators can add notes to a user
Notes are only displayed in users profile and only to admin and moderator

Not sure if that's included with 0.1.4, in a newer version i'm sure i have it on per-group basis. It's just lying on my HD for now, i'll submit it when the moddb reopens.

Hello,

it'd be possible, but rather complicated. I don't have the time to make a script for that right now, sorry.

Here's a convertor, i havn't tested it though ;)

Code: Select all

<?php
/**
*
* @package phpBB2
* @version 1.0.0
* @copyright (c) 2007 eviL3
* @license http://opensource.org/licenses/gpl-license.php GNU Public License
*
*/

/**
 * @ignore
 */
define('IN_PHPBB', true);
$phpbb_root_path = './';
include($phpbb_root_path . 'extension.inc');
include($phpbb_root_path . 'common.'.$phpEx);

$now = time();

$sql = 'SELECT user_id, user_admin_notes
	FROM ' . USERS_TABLE;
$result = $db->sql_fetchrow($sql);

while ($row = $db->sql_fetchrow($result))
{
	if (empty($row['notes_text']))
	{
		continue;
	}

	$data = array(
		'notes_author'	=> 2, // change this to the admin who should be the author of the notes
		'notes_user'	=> (int) $row['user_id'],
		'notes_text'	=> str_replace("\'", "''", $row['user_admin_notes']),
	);

	$_sql = 'INSERT INTO ' . USER_NOTES_TABLE . " (notes_author, notes_user, notes_text, notes_time, notes_modview)
		VALUES ({$data['notes_author']}, {$data['notes_user']}, '{$data['notes_user']}', {$now}, 0)";
	$db->sql_query($_sql);
}
$db->sql_freeresult($result);

echo 'Data transfered successfully!';

?>

I used easymod to install the v0.1.4 of the script and got the following error:

Critical Error

COPY FAILED: The target file to be copied [./mods/advanced_admin_user_notes_0_1_4/root/includes/usercp_usercp_addnote.php] could not be found.
copy root/includes/usercp_usercp_addnote.php to includes/usercp_usercp_addnote.php
MOD script line #96 :: FAQ :: Report

root/includes/usercp_usercp_addnote.php does not exist in that directory, but usercp_addnote.php does.

I'm not sure if usercp_addnote.php should be renamed to usercp_usercp_addnote.php, or if that line of the script should be changed.

Thanks for your time,
Ken

Hi, it should be changed in the script. I have an updated version of this MOD, never got round to releasing it...
