The profile error is discussed earlier in this topic. There should be a solution a couple of pages back. "Could not get instant message post information" means, in this case, that they waited to reply until after the main window had refreshed - when the main window refreshed, the message was deleted from the database. The script is trying to get the username/user id of the person the user is replying to, but can't because the message has been deleted.

You can't find it because it isn't there yet. ;) Check the im_prefs database table and make sure there's a column called admin_allow_ims and that none of the values in that column are zero.

This IM script works perfectly! There's just one problem, when I send an instant message, the smilies dropdown box shows duplicates of some of the choices, please help!

Yeah, that's a known bug - there's no way around it yet. It does that because you have more than one smilie code with the same name. For instance, if :) and :-) are both called 'Happy', then 'Happy' shows up twice.

Hmm, nice sound. I like it.

To fix the problem you provided a picture of, make sure there's a slash after {SCRIPT_PATH} in each template's simple_header.tpl.

I'm not sure what's wrong in the other case, but it sounds like there might be an error in overall_header.tpl for that template.

phpIM broken w/ 2.0.4?

Post by Garry » Thu Jan 16, 2003 7:24 pm

After updating phpBB2 to version 2.0.4, I don't get anybody listed as "online" anymore - is it because I'm using an old version of the IM, or something in phpBB that broke the code?

Tnx, -gg
