fine lets call it v.0.1.0 if it lets you sleep at night

and to answer the useful reply, yes, if you convert the forum recipes become normal posts.

Let's FIX the version number all over this topic ASAP, so I can sleep.
I'm not used to make not useful replies, this is the last call.
Your sarcasm it is not appreciated here.

Thank you. Awaiting then. 8)

Ok, I fixed it.

Sorry for the sarcasm, but really, I just made this to help the requesters & for experience, I could pretty much care less about where or how I post it, without really wanting credit.

I'll use this special version scheme from now on, sorry... :?

Sorry, leave it alone, it adds a space but it isn't necessary, I have a script generate most of the mod actions.

Hi, I am getting this error message after submitting a recipe post or any post.
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: htmlspecialchars_decode() in /home/folder/public_html/forums/posting.php on line 605

This is line 605:

Code: Select all

prepare_post($mode, $post_data, $bbcode_on, $html_on, $smilies_on, $error_msg, $username, $bbcode_uid, $subject, $message, $poll_title, $poll_options, $poll_length, addslashes(htmlspecialchars_decode($_POST['title'])));

htmlspecialchars-decode

this function only works with (PHP 5 >= 5.1.0) .. hence this MOD can't be submitted to the MODDB for phpBB 2.0.x actually. Basically that function reverses what htmlspecialchars does (it is used to sanitize some inputs prior to be injected into the DB).
The use of this line

Code: Select all

addslashes(htmlspecialchars_decode($_POST['title']))
does not make any sense there though, also.. the use of $_POST leads to security issues usually, read: not to be used at all.
I did not look at all the code, just read the above post.
regards

Here's what you can add to functions.php if you want to use htmlspecialchars_decode() anyway (this is from phpBB3):

Code: Select all

if (!function_exists('htmlspecialchars_decode'))
{
	/**
	* A wrapper for htmlspecialchars_decode
	* @ignore
	*/
	function htmlspecialchars_decode($string, $quote_style = ENT_COMPAT)
	{
		return strtr($string, array_flip(get_html_translation_table(HTML_SPECIALCHARS, $quote_style)));
	}
}

[Update of previous note, having noticed I forgot to put in quote style]

PHP4 Compatible function:

<?php

function htmlspecialchars_decode_php4 ($str, $quote_style = ENT_COMPAT) {
   return strtr($str, array_flip(get_html_translation_table(HTML_SPECIALCHARS, $quote_style)));
}

?>

I too am looking forward to this MOD's successful release as I've just added a recipe section to my forum a couple weeks ago!

Is this still being developed? It's perfect for what I want to use it for but I'm holding off installing it.
