Change

Code: Select all

die();
to

Code: Select all

die('Sorry, but you did not select a correct timezone, please go back and try again.');
Then open lang_main.php

And change

Code: Select all

$lang['tz']['-12'] = 'GMT - 12 Hours';
to

Code: Select all

$lang['tz']['-12'] = 'Select your timezone';
OR
$lang['tz']['-12'] = '----------';

=== OR ===

Or only change

Code: Select all

die();
to

Code: Select all

die('Please do not select timezone GMT-12 as this is used by spambots. However, if you do live in this timezone, please select it after you register from your UCP. Thanks.');
No more spambots for phpBB2 and phpBB3.

The :roll: is unnecessary.

Try changing die to message_die.
That wouldn't show the posting box, but it's more user-friendly.

Or you can try $error_message .= 'Blah blah'; instead, which looks like it'll do what you wanted.

Something the like

Code: Select all

if( $user_timezone == '-12' )
{
	message_die(GENERAL_ERROR, 'You are on -12 then blah blah', 'Problem: you need to try again.');
}
or

Code: Select all

if( $user_timezone == '-12' )
				{
					$message = $lang['You are in -12 then blah blah'] . "<br /><br />" . sprintf($lang['IP_CF_Click_return_register'], "<a href=\"" . append_sid("profile.$phpEx?mode=register") . "\">", "</a>") . "<br /><br />" . sprintf($lang['Click_return_index'], "<a href=\"" . append_sid("index.$phpEx") . "\">", "</a>");

					message_die(GENERAL_MESSAGE, $message);
				}
As examples of what we are talking about. :)
