In includes/functions_post.php what about using

Code: Select all

'POST_TEXT' => stripslashes($post_text),
instead of

Code: Select all

'POST_TEXT' => $post_text,

I have installed this MOD on my testboard

## Files To Edit: posting.php
## viewforum.php
## admin/admin_forums.php
## includes/constants.php
## includes/functions_post.php
## language/lang_english/lang_main.php
## language/lang_english/lang_admin.php
## language/lang_english/email/topic_notify.tpl
## templates/subSilver/viewforum_body.tpl
## templates/subSilver/admin/forum_edit_body.tpl

There is no edit instructions for this file
language/lang_english/email/topic_notify.tpl

Navigation in ACP goes blank because of the edits in this file:
admin/admin_forums.php

Why?

language/lang_english/email/topic_notify.tpl only needs to be editted if you want it to be in another language then english.

I dont know why Navigation in ACP goes blank
Check your edits in admin/admin_forums.php, maybe you placed some code somewhere in a wrong place.

I have checked it twice, it is all done correct.
But it may be conflicting with another of my mods, maybe the auto lock mod.

Thank You Wicher, now I can Access ACP.
Topic notification works Fine, but forum notification doesn't.

I guess that there it is conflicting with my Plus forum or one og my 70 mods :D

Thanks for trying.

Is this by any chance compatible with the Watched Topic List so people can manage topics and/or forums they subscribed to through the same link in the overall header?

There is only one way to find that out, and thats by installing both mods.
Just make backups in case they are in the way of each other.
But i dont think there will be problems what thats concerned.

Dear Wicher, or others out there,

I'm about to apply this mod to my forum, but have one question. In the Forum_notification_2.0.1 text file, just before the instructions on editing the files there is this:

#-----[ SQL ]------------------------------------------
#
CREATE TABLE `phpbb_forums_watch` (
`forum_id` smallint(5) unsigned NOT NULL default '0',
`user_id` mediumint(8) NOT NULL default '0',
`notify_status` tinyint(1) NOT NULL default '0',
KEY `forum_id` (`forum_id`),
KEY `user_id` (`user_id`),
KEY `notify_status` (`notify_status`)
);

ALTER TABLE phpbb_forums ADD forum_notify TINYINT(1) UNSIGNED DEFAULT 1 NOT NULL;
#

I don't have much PHP knowledge, and don't know what to make of this. What exactly am I supposed to edit/do?

Thanks in advance!

This is supposed to be inserted into your database.
You can do that by using phpmyadmin which probably came with your hosting account.

If you dont know how to use phpmyadmin, you can create a sql install file at following link:
