I installed it in my forum and noted that a post from a tarbed user appears in index.php as the last of that forum, but if you click in the link, it not works (surely not, the post is tarbed :lol: )

development in progress

Post by karlg »

whoa! ths got way more responce than i expected! thanks for all the awesome responses! :)

I've been cleaning up my mod howto a bit... found a few more issues.

I'm also working on the tarb toggle for topics/posts... I kinda need some help. I'll be the first to admit, i'm no good at graphic design :(, but i want to make this look as integrated as possbile with the subsilver skin. Would it be possible for someone to create 2 simple icons like the icon_delete.gif for posts, and topic_delete.gif for topics for the tarb toggle?

I have installed this, the only problem is that the user and admin don't see the post.

It never get's posted.

The message goes to be posted and then isn't.

and i didn't understand what is to do in this part:

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ OPEN ]------------------------------------------
#
posting.php

#
#-----[ IN-LINE, FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
# After this line:
#submit_post($mode, $post_data, $return_message, $return_meta, $forum_id, $topic_id, $post_id, $poll_
#id, $topic_type, $bbcode_on, $html_on, $smilies_on, $attach_sig, $bbcode_uid, str_replace("\'", "''", $username), str_replace("\'",
#"''", $subject), str_replace("\'", "''", $message), str_replace("\'", "''", $poll_title), $poll_options, $poll_length);
if ( $error_msg == ''

#
#-----[ IN-LINE AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
&& $userdata['user_tarb'] != "1"

That piece of code appear twice, but I try one and I get the problem of no post is actually entered.

IF i put it the other then it gives a debug error.

patch 0.0.5

Post by karlg »

This was a bug with the first patch.... so i've verified the patch works.... i did find one section of code missing. The edit above to posting.php is confusing... just make sure you put it in the right place.

Here's the missing edit to posting.php: i think this will fix your problems. If posting still isn't working, let me know. The're working on my testing board. I've tried to verify all the FINDs are unique.

Code: Select all

#
#-----[ IN-LINE, FIND ]------------------------------------------
#
# After this line:
#if ( $error_msg == '' )
#        {
if ( $mode != 'editpost'

#
#-----[ IN-LINE AFTER, ADD ]------------------------------------------
#
&& $userdata['user_tarb'] != "1"
