[BETA] Lottery Mod

It won't work like normal lotteries where it draws xx numbers though, at least not yet. Just every xx period it will pick a random person from the entries and give them a base amount + the all the entry costs. So if 5 people entry for 50 points each, and 500 is the base, they'll win 750 points.

Update, now in beta testing.

From your description it sounds like you should call it the "Raffle Mod." In case you don't know, a raffle is when you buy tickets, they put your tickets in a big drum and draw a winner. Sounds much more like what you are doing.

I think this might make me reinstall points mod, it sounds cool.

Well the last time I installed it there were no mods that took advantage of it, so all I had were points!! And all you could do was donate them. Now you can do more with them.

I know what a raffle is

The difference is a raffle is used to gain money, you win a base prize and that's it.

A lottery you get a base prize + a % of the amount taken in, or the % of the amount taken in is used in next weeks prize pool. If no one wins it jackpots etc.

This has features from both of them. You can rename it to whatever you like, but I think I'll stick with the name lottery. (I don't really like the word raffle -_-)

Ahhh but if you simply select a random user from the database then how can there ever be a rollover?

I still think it is closer to a raffle, but you are right it is your mod so if you prefer lottery then so be it.

I am still looking forward to it whatever it is called.

Sorry. There is a small delay in the releasing of the mod. The winner isn't being set properly, so I'll need to fix that tomorrow.
