Don't worry bout answering that one.
Changed the includes/functions_search.php to trim out most of the regedit stuff.
Worked fine then.

And 14.5 hours later, 560,000 posts are reindexed for the search. Great mod!

Just to clarify - WHICH MOD is it you used - the one this Topic was started for... or the one from the German site ??

Just wondering, as I help run a forum with over 1 mill posts, and i've as yet been unable to get the rebuild to make it past 20%, and the time it takes to get to that 20% indicates it will take a good 3 full days to get to 100%...

Any suggestions to help make it past the 20% mark would be very much appreciated ;)

Sorry for my a-little-bit-off-topic question, but just by curiosity:

is it "necessary" to split in pages? Could you hypothetically just start with set_time_limit(0); and then run the entire script?

Or does this give other problems besides not seeing the progress?

Please, what search tables?

phpbb_search_results?
phpbb_search_wordlist?
phpbb_search_wordmatch?

list and match.

there is nothing to rebuild in results, that's a temporary table ;)

Thank you Peter.

I am trying to execute the script by following command:
http://www.mysite.com/phpbb/admin/admin ... search.php

but I receive the message:
Notice: Undefined index: time_limit in ...phpbb\admin\admin_rebuild_search.php on line 15

The admin control panel checks the admin directory for any php files that are properly configured to be admin tools, so it would automatically show up in your admin panel if you copied it to the admin directory.

For me, it shows up as "Rebuild Search" in the General Admin section of the admin control panel.

You are correct. Will be that I am blind? Now I found, but a new enigma appeared. What means this message that not change from 0%? The program it refresh at each 3 seconds, but appears to be in looping. What will be happening?
