Nicola wrote: But if now many Board Members used this Thread and rate the other Members the overview of this Topic goes down. Then i made this mod and i put the ratings from the " User Rating Topic" in this mod. So the overview is much better, because the Members can now see if the other member have a positive or negative Rating from other Members. To add the Points (only Admin can do) you can do it thru the user setting Menu:

I hope this was helpful.

Yeah, except I don't understand what you mean "the overview of this topic goes down". I have a Trading community, and here's how mine works...

1. User makes deal in appropriate forum
2. After deal in completed, user posts info in Completed Trades Forum
3. Other user agrees....then me (admin) gives each user on Good Trade point using the Points System
4. User posts feedback in Feedback Forum, where every user has his/her own topic, and topics are sorted alphabetically.

Not extremely efficient...maybe your mod could help?

Yes, this Mod do this.

After a Deal both user posts info in Completed Trades Forum. Then I give the Users one Positive Point.

Hmm? So the difference between what I use now (Points) and your mod would be that I could also give negative points? Or any other added abilities?

Is there a way to allow moderators to be given the ability to give trade points too?

Falsche Domain ;)
Nein, so eine Version gibt es nicht, der Admin muss die Punkte immer noch vergeben (schwierig zu realisieren - Fake Bewertungen könnten auftauchen). Aber ne 2.0.8 Version gibt es:

Sorry for this short german Talk :)

this would be cool if instead of a forum, you just had a submission form for them to fill out, then the mod or admin could look at it and add points from there, and also allow them to leave comments for the trades which would show up in the users profile when viewed, anything like that around?

Hi

Could someone please help me out with a few pointers?

I'd like to install this mod on my forum as I have a trading section and this would be much better than the old references forum (although I would love to use something like trader ratings as used on VB boards - has this or similar been ported?) but I'm a total phpBB novice.

I understand that I have to find and insert on the listed 8 files but this part:

Code: Select all

SQL QUERY:

ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_positive INT(5);
ALTER TABLE phpbb_users ADD user_negative INT(5);
Means nothing to me.

What am I supposed to do with this?

Thanks

So theres no way to allow the moderators be able to run this mod? I know there should be some kind of way, but may take a little work. Hope someone out there is willing to take the challenge.

Thanks :)

Please try not to bump old and dead topics. Thanks.

It looks like the original MOD author, Nicola, has abandoned this MOD; he/she hasn't posted here since July 8, 2004. About a year and a half ago. As such, I'm considering this MOD abandoned, and locking this topic.

Nicola (or anyeone with his/her permission to do so), if you come back and wish to continue development of this MOD, don't hesitate to contact me regarding this.
