Versions 0.1 and 0.2 should be manually uninstalled before installing new version. Look at xs_mod/contrib/old_install/install.txt and undo steps witten there. Then delete all cache and install new version.

When upgrading from versions 0.3 and newer all you need to do is delete cache and then overwrite old mod files with new ones.

you didn't install mod - this error is shown only by default phpbb template.php when you are trying to access mod settings in admin control panel.

put correct template.php in includes directory.

I know I'm a noob, but is that Debug info suppost to be displayed under the Submit Reset buttons under Config? I can only assume is should since it says "Everything seems OK" If so, then excellent MOD, works flawlessly, did infact speed up the forum, and by far one of the easiest mods to install.

yes, it is supposed to be there so admin could see if cache works and could fix access rights to directories if he sees some error.

There's a strange bug with shoutbox ...

Without your mod I can choose if shoutbox will appear on index or not, and it works ...

But when I install your mod (extreme style) it appears always, and I cannot choose anymore ... any fix? :wink:

I can't find shoutbox mod on this forum. Please email me a copy of mod to slava@trushkin.net and i'll find the problem.

there is a typo in your template.
loop starts with
<!-- BEGIN displayindexshoutbox -->
and ends with
<!-- END displaysindexshoutbox -->
(extra "s" after "display").

To fix it fix typo in template or turn off error checking in eXtreme Styles mod settings.

Hello CyberAlien,

I'm wondering how this MOD of your's affects such things as:

Multiple BBCode Mod
and
BBCode Buttons Organizer

Does it have any affect upon such other MOD's as them?

Also, what existing MOD's do you know of, that this MOD of yours would conflict with?

Just trying to figure a few things about before I begin final validation of it :mrgreen:

Thanks.

I just looked at those mods - there is nothing in it that might have conflict.

The possible conflicts are when:

1. when mod uses <?php and ?> inside tpl files without real php code inside it. there is such mod - it sends string '<?php' in javascript and it was discussed in this thread. to avoid conflict text '<?php' in that mod should be replaced with '<'+'?php'.

2. when mod has typos in tpl files that default template.php ignores (like loop opens with <!-- BEGIN blah --> and ends with <!-- END blah2 -->), but that can be avoided by turning off error checking in mod settings.

I think all conflicts were already discussed in this thread - there are many users using this mod with other mods on their forums and they reported problems for more than 2 months in this thread.

edit: forgot to mention that this mod is already used by some overmodded phpbb versions and as far as i know they don't have any problems with it (at least they didn't report any and didn't ask any questions)

Thanks for replying.

So the MOD "PHP Syntax Highlighter BBCode" will cough on this template system, correct?

With the MyCalendar MOD it wasn't displaying the calendar for me. I don't know if anyone has brought this up and I am too lazy to browse through 20 pages.
