referal script + list of most recent posts

Post by mrlarter »

I am looking for two features. these already exist as hacks I am sure but can not find them. or maybe i just do not know where to look.

anyway the first is the ability to show on a completely diffrent page the top 5 or so threads..like the 5 newest threads on the forum on the main index of my site and not on the forum its self.

another is to allow users of the forum to refer friends and such and get credit for it in some way. any suggestions?

http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/catdb.php?cat=56

Look through there, Topics Anywhere would probably be the simplest for most users, but there are several other options.

As far as the Referal, the MOD author for the old version of this asked that his be removed.

Also, please be more descriptive in your Subjects next time

You can do that with Topics Anywhere, RSS Content Syndicator, or Fetch All, they all work, just depends on if you want a Javascript, RSS, or PHP solution.

Fetch All (I had meant to say "In that order" or something at the end of the line)
