I tried to play a mod in Winamp.

did the topic title have you confused? lol thought so...
i was confused to.

i downloaded a mod and it was a Winamp file. :?
the file extention was .mod but it was a winamp icon and opened in winamp when i clicked it,
i have no idea how to use that file.

any advice?

i realise that this is in the wrong forum but the in "mod support" forum only admin can start threads, dunno why.

a .MOD file is basically just a text file. open it in wordpad/notepad and you'll see all the instructions/text.
If you hold down shift + right click, the choose open with, select notepad and set it to always open that file with notepad. :)

or if you have XP, just right click and select opwn-with :)
