Can someone recommend some good chat MODs?

Post by 4040 »

Or at least tell me how to better search for one?

I searched for 'chat' in this forum and get stuff like:

[2.0.15] Attachment Mod
[2.0.10] Cash Mod
[2.0.10] Moderator CP

What do any of these have to do with chat anyway!?

hey, kinger1997,
r u kidding ?
i have bought their product before, they have few modules excluding change nickname mod, moderator mod , invisible admin mod, pocket pc banner chat mod!
i think there should be more modules than they have now, if they want to be the professional flashchat maker!

Yes, the search feature on here really does suck! If it doesnt freeze up with a white screen it returns irrelevant results.

If you're capable with phpBB you can install the blank page template mod and then include the pjIRC applet to connect to an IRC chatroom

That's what I used to use...

Recently I've redeveloped the site and made seperate pages for the non-phpBB pages and included the phpBB session accross it, then used $userdata[username] variable in the applet code to allow for the people who are already signed in to sign in as their username

That's still using pjirc...

Have a look in the Knowledgebase ( http://www.phpbb.com/kb/ ) and look under improvements - > Something about sessions to learn how to include your sessions across it

http://www.im-board.net/index.php?u=2 is the link to my site's chat room for example (using the if signed in statement so non-signed in people can choose their name before going into the chat)

123 flashchat works great. but a little expensive, but i think it may be reasonable for its price , you know they can provide free support and upgrade service after purchase .

the a/v chat of them ,is very cool, but i am afraid of the flashcom server .

they have a new live support product ,
www.123livehelp.com

but not released yet.

haha, one to one supportting online maybe help the business a lot .
