I want to add recent topics (newest threads) list from my phpbb forum in to simple php webpage. Is there any mod like that or something?

The example is here:

I tried phpbbFetchAll and hated it. The two mods from phphacks worked just as I wanted with out all the extra junk I had no need for..

plus topic extractions and the other one only have ONE file to mess with.. and customize easily. Unlike phpbbFetchAll that has a LOT of files and a load of stuff you may not really want.

Hi there,

Thanks for sharing it with me.

With the first mod, I don't understand, what I have to do with that file (topic.php). I tried to include it:

Code: Select all

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<?php include("topic.php"); ?>
<p>This is test</p>
</body>
</html>
But it didn't work...

With the second mod, I also tried to include that file:

Code: Select all

<html>
<head>
</head>
<body>
<?php include("phpbb-latest.php"); ?>
<p>This is test.</p>
</body>
</html>
But an error showed: "connection died"

Plz help me, thank you. :roll:

Another one for you to look into Topics Anywhere. ;)
Places links to the topics where users have posted recently from any forum on your phpBB on any page anywhere you want (no support for PHP, SSI or whatever is required because it uses JavaScript to show the topic titles) or get those topics as a RSS feed. This is an extremely customizable add-on.

You don't even need to make any code changes to your phpBB.

"At A Glance" is one I still use, anyone remember it?

It was made by this guy called netclectic. Unfortunatly its not supported anymore.

http://www.netclectic.com

What I'd like to do is have a multiple selection box in the UserCP that allows users to pick and choose what forums they'd like to appear in their recent topics.

That way, the entire board is open & also people get what they want.

If anyone still uses netclectic's At a Glance mod and would like to develop on it, let me know. I can host test environments for free.
