Yes. Those switches in the TPL file viewtopic_body.tpl did not work. That was what the very first post was about. I was theorizing it was because those switches (which are actually group vars) are being nested within the postrow groupvar, which will not work unless they are defined as a nested group.

But now the OP is working on a different issues (not showing the www to guest via profile viewing)...the other issue was taken care of on the previous page.

OIC... 8)

I assume the questioner already knows about those switches since that is what the first post was about :wink:

The difference is in the original post she was trying to use them within the postrow switch listing... which won't work.

In the view profile template, she's using them normally not inside of a listrow loop so it will work fine. :)

Just put the

Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN switch_user_logged_in -->
<!-- END switch_user_logged_in -->
around the part you want excluded from guests in your viewprofile.tpl

Uhmmm, there is no viewprofile.tpl file...there is a profile_view_body.tpl though.

The viewtopic_body.tpl uses a listrow loop to display each post:

Code: Select all

<!-- BEGIN postrow -->
Stuff for the post
<!-- END postrow -->
and you were originally trying to put your user_logged_in switch inside that loop, which will not work.
Since viewprofile does not use such a loop, your switches should work file there.
