How do you use tables in forum posts? NOT a mod request

Post by dugchugger »

I looked this up a long time ago, found the answer, implemented it and had it working for a while. It no longer words and I can no longer find the solution. Apparently my "search" skills suck... even after reading the tips for searching.

I'm not using any mods on my forums. I just need to be able to use tables in some posts, so any help would be greatly appreciated. :D

I would assume if you activated (allowed) html in your posts (form the admin panel) it should work.

Hi dugchugger,

  • Table BBCode

It's the only solution I'm aware of that is secure versus allowing html.

From the admin panel? Hmm... I remember entering the code in on one of the php pages... but not from admin panel. Where exactly do I do that?

I wasn't looking for a mod. Last time I looked into this I found an answer that didn't require a mod... but for a file or two (or more?) to be edited to allow the table codes. If this gets moved to mod requests... I hope someone will still be able to help me find the solution that doesn't require the mod. I may look into what was suggested a little later, but for the time being I'm looking for a quicker fix. :D
