Ok, going to have this as our next "KMR".

The last one was a bit harder (or so it seemed) than I thought it would be.

This one should be real easy.

In essance, here is what I'd like to see:

Within the ACP, under the section "User Admin" create a new link entitled "banned users".

This needs to utilize the 'pagenation', for bigger sites, so don't forget that. ;)

Should be a simple: One .ph file, One .tpl file.

Within this new .php file, I would like it to list all users that have been banned.

Provide a "drop-down list" to the admin can choose to also display by "ip address" and "email address" (default should be 'username').

Within the information displayed, let's show the following information:

  • username
  • user_email
  • user_posts
  • user_lastvisit
Display these in the same format that 'memberlist' does.

Perhaps additional features (perhaps after the [KMR Award] is given) would be the ability to have a check-box next to each member for mass unbanning (??)

Enjoy!

Been working on something like this myself. Progress shot:
http://www.pogoworld.co.uk/screen1.jpg

Here is the code: http://www.pogoworld.co.uk/view_banned_users.zip - Uploaded - 26th Feb. - v1.0.0 RC4

Pagination issues are still there but shouldn't cause too many issues (if any at all).

RC-4 - Fixed issue with IPs and E-mails (adding duplicate lines).

@Flipper,

Nice job so far. :mrgreen:

A couple of things I've noticed:

(1) The link shows under the "General Admin" and not the "User Admin" section ;)

(2)

Code: Select all

<input type="submit" name="submit_unban" value="" class="liteoption" />
next to the "Goto page" part.

Code: Select all

{L_MASS_UNBAN}
is not working, because

Code: Select all

lang['{unban_button}']
doesn't exist within the lang file.

(3) last visit time is displayed in UNIX format ;)

Code: Select all

1045719175

That's it for now :)

Nice job on the 'unban user' part.

John,

Those issues should have been sorted and MOD reuploaded.

Good to hear :)

Where's the location for this?

Anybody else out there tried this?

Let's all see if Flipper can receive the next [KMR Award] :mrgreen:

I was trying it for about 4 hours but it just wouldnt work right. I got it to pull the data from the DB and pull everything up but when i changed it to make use of the template file it would just output the rows for the template acording to the accurate number of rows and stuff but it wouldnt put any of the data in any of the fields.

anyway i got PO'd cause i couldnt figure out why assign_block_vars wasnt working with the db info crap so i gave up. When i had it working without templates i had it removing banns and adding bans and sorting stuff but when it came to adapting it to the template it went to crap.

I think im gonna try the next one but if you dont mind pointing me to some info on the proper usage of the assign_block_vars function so i can figure out where i went wrong id much appreciate it.

Howdy,

It should be available from the above links (I overwrote the previous file). Anyone wanting to try a demo: http://beta.pogoworld.co.uk/phpBB2 Username: Flipper Password: admin. Note: Any data set will be reset every day or so.
