Is there an alternative to Fetch All?

Post by aaron_inde » Mon Nov 12, 2007 4:20 am

I'm having trouble getting it to work and wondered if there was something easier for a non coder. I just want a few topic previews on my homepage.

nothing that does not require some coding changes and additions.

that is just how it works.

there are several different types of MODs for this.

fetchall is the most powerful.

there is one named "topics anywhere" I think,

and many others,

check the MOD section here and /or at phpbbhacks.com

What specific problem are you having. Fetchall is pretty much a 1 line setup and it'll work. Other than that the rest of fetchall is just adding or deleting what you want it to display

Actually fetch all was one of the most confusing and not so user friendly scripts out there. Maybe to coders it's easy. heh. Topics anywhere is really simple: phpbbhacks.com/download/2057

I installed the RSS Content Syndictator mod, then used RSS2HTML to embed the feed in my non-forum index page. You can see it in action here: expatexposed.com

The 2 right columns pull forum headlines this way. The article in the main column uses the phpBB Blog mod.
