Reject "Free" Email Addresses Plz !!

Post by banana » Mon Dec 09, 2002 4:37 pm

This add-on to my SendPass Registrations
hack will reject any registration if a specified
free email address is entered. The included
file contains over 400 "free" email domains.
Special thanks to K. Greene!

PHPBB has e-mail filters built in. Use them.

Done: http://www.phpbb.com/phpBB/viewtopic.ph ... 780#355780

And yes, phpBB does have built-in email filters that could have been used for this (although it would admittedly take a *long* time to enter 400 emails). They're in the Adminstration Panel, on the first page under "Users."

it is not exactly what you have requested, but I think I will inform you of the exisitence of this option.

I have included a extra feature in my validate email mod, from version 1.2.2 and above.

it is now posible to specify a "positive email list"

you can "ban" all email inserting this in the ban panel
*@*.*

you may then enter the positive list like this
*:yourdomain.com
*:anotherdomain.dk

this way users can ONLY register using email that you have "accepted"

and like
Earth should spin a litle slower, then there would be 28H/dayImage
