[REQ] 18+ Age check on topics [REQ]

Post by Clubby » Wed Mar 12, 2003 3:49 pm

Hi peeps,

I'm wondering if there is some kind of age check for example..

I made a forum for an organisation wich contains some adult material.. But not everything.. is it possible when a user logs in and want to visit the adult section that i goes trhu a sort of profile check.. wich will check if the user is 18? and if not gets refused of seeing it..

anyone?

Greetings

Well I can say it's possible if used in conjunction with the Birthday MOD... but I'm not gonna help you design any kind of ageist mod for phpBB

this is something i was trying to come up with tonight, i have a client that has one user that they dont want to see the a certain forum...all the rest are allowed to...there doesnt seem to be a way to reverse the way groups work, by adding users to a group that will keep them from seeing all forums.

Please remember the developers have produced this and released it in their own free time. Anyone creating mods also does this in their own free time. I for one think they are all doing a fantastic job and say WOW to the amount of time they spend developing this software. If you are unhappy with the free software and service provided I would say pay for another one ... but I doubt you'll find one as good!

why not have one of the age groups go into a usergroup on join, i did this last night and it was terribly easy. then you can direct the usergroup just liek you normally would.
