What Improved From 2.0.0 to 2.0.1 ?

Post by Dzien Dobry »

I assume that the only difference between 2.0.0 and 2.0.1 is several behind-the-scenes bug fixes. Are there any cosmetic changes in this new release or does the new board look exactly the same?

It looks the same. I upgraded my boards about five minutes ago.

I’m sure it’s virtually indistinguishable visually, but there could have been small changes. I sure hope it doesn't have Delete this post spelled out. I hate that.

How about posting the changelog here? It's a customary thing to present the changelog, so that everyone doesn't have to waste the bandwidth downloading the whole thing just to see if they need/want to upgrade.

The changelog really needs to be posted on the download page _seperate_ from the actual PHPBB distribution. I'm on a 56K modem at home, there's no way in hell I'm going to go through all the trouble of downloading that entire package just to read the changelog. If you go look at other software sites, they almost all have their revision history posted on the web for all to see. IMHO, you need to do the same, especially for something as complex as PHPBB.

It is available without downloading the package, right here: http://www.phpbb.com/docs/README.html

You can find that linked off the downloads page, it contains a full changelog going back to RC-1 (pre) :)
