Any way this could get stickied? There are quite a few spam threads created every day...

with easier VC's like phpBB2 has, it can figure out what it says most of the time
Maybe we could use them as a utility to figure out those pesky zeros and letter O's - seem to be beyond me to figure out.

You know...it does say "Zeros have a line through them" by the VC in phpBB2. ;)

Confirmation code: *
Enter the code exactly as you see it. The code is case sensitive and zero has a diagonal line through it.

thanks for mentioning my list in your first post.

I think a knowledge base topic is more in place here..

I was thinking about removing the WWW column on the Memberlist page and from the Profile page. I figure the main reason for joining is to get the advertiser's web site in front of people, and the only way to do that would be to actually /post/, which none of my spammers have (to date). Most of them don't actually confirm the memership, in fact, but some do, and visual confirmation is turned on, so I think they're mostly people, not bots.

Do you think that would be worthwhile?

Oh, and does someone have a link on the mod to hide those with no posts?

Also, there is a way to ban IPs when used in email addresses; is there a way to ban them when used in the WWW entry?
