The ease and quality that Phbb brought to our website spoiled me. I now wonder: When can we expect a full CMS from this obviously competent team. Or els, which CMS (free) package do you advise that would integrate smoothly with Phbb and would make the rest of my site comparable to what I now have in my forums :?:

(By the way: The only way that Phbb can add even more value to our site is if an Afrikaans Language mod become available!)

Have a good look at this MOD, WP-United -- phpBB WordPress Integration. I think this MOD can help you to achieve exactly what you want. Have a look at the MOD author´s website for a good example.

There was a portal project started long ago that was dropped. I believe they decided to wait until the next release (phpBB3 aka Olympus) was available before picking it up again.

No word on whether the intention is still there, but as we've been through (as I write this) 5 beta cycles for Olympus there is definitely progress being made on the core product. Once it's released (don't ask when that will be :-P) the idea might be revisited again.

Special need

Thank you for the prompt replies. I had a quick look at WP-united and it will help.

I am however still in the dark about one requirement. I need to publish some 200 to 1000 "business cards" on our site. This will typically be detail of professionals, business’s and services which should be searchable by the public using the site. (Search on name, area, type of service etc.)There's no need to have the public rate the participants. It should just be easy for me to add and manage the list and details.

Any Idea's :?:
