If it's not gonna delay 2.0 too much and it's mostly already coded, I say go for it!

Hey! The new Insta-code and insta-smiley stuff should be in the default also! Inst-formatting works great, but I wish the insta smileys would let you insert wherever you place the cursor, not necessarily always at the end. But... Very very very nice!

How about insta-colors?

I just had a thought. Will the polls feature need to be added to the groups permissions? So you can turn off the ability of certain users/groups to post polls?

I guess this is the reason why there was AUTH_VOTECREATE, AUTH_VOTE and AUTH_ATTACH in the database/auth.php!

No, please no open topic style :) It is perfect like this. Polls are just an addition to a topic. :)

Agreed, this way we can make our vote, and have a separate discussion about the poll's topic. You can discuss before voting, you can discuss without voting... it's perfect :D

This poll didn't show me the answers. It just showed me 4 radio buttons. I am on Win2k Server, IE 5.00.3315.1000.

Poll options

Post by DK »

i could only vote once signed in under my nick, which I would assume was fine, but once I went back and signed in the poll came up, the radio buttons were there, but there were no headers for the 4 choices, just the radio buttons, and greyness, i highlighted to see if it was bad font color'd text, nada. just letting someone know =)

scotshin7, firstly these files were only uploaded minutes before we announced the surprise and secondly we're getting a tad annoyed with you publishing URI's you shouldn't be publishing .... this is your last warning, James may not be so generous ...

This wouldn't be your last warning if the view IP tools had been built (I don't feel like looking it up by hand) so I can't get your IP to ban you.

We will release information when we see fit. The poll code isn't anywhere for download yet because we're still doing internal testing on it, part of that internal testing is using it on area51 to get some user feedback and to stress test it.

Anyway, as Paul said, last warning.
