phpBB 2.0.4

Post by webmaster-forum » Thu Dec 19, 2002 1:25 pm

Estimated time of completion? I'm wanting to install phpBB 2.0.4 with the FI Subice theme on webmaster-forum.net, to replace the current forum.
When will phpBB 2.0.4 be done? And will it work with FI Subice?
TY.

Good idea :P

And don't spend a lot of time installing MOD's... you'll just have to do it again when 2.0.4 rolls out ;)

(but I didn't tell you this <smirk>)

erm, I am running a little late with 2.0.4 (note 2.0.4 ... not 2.2) but it'll be nearer this weekend/just before Christmas ... not next year :)

psoTFX,
do you recommend I wait and install 2.0.4 or just go with the current version? A couple weeks is no big deal for me. 8)

Hi,

Install 2.03 and then just run the update to 2.0.4 when it arrives.
Please and Thank You works wonders...

yosky, please read all posts. If you did you would have seen psoTFX posted the quoted text below just a few messages above yours.

Also, as with any major update (from looking at the change log posted here I am under the impression this is a major update). Its good to have a mirror of your live site. Update the mirror and get it working correctly before you move the update to the live site.

Yep. I would say this is a HUGE update from 2.0.3 to 2.0.4 expeically when you compair the items that changed from 2.0.2 to 2.0.3 or 2.0.1 to 2.0.2

Thats an impressive list of changes from 2.03

I have a question. I have been using phpBB since the early days. Each time I update my members always make a comment on speed improvements !

I'm not sure if this is really the case.

Is there anything from 2.0.1 to 2.0.4 that would cause a speed benefit ?

Many thanks.

Great work
