thanks, this was exactly what i am searching for, but 45 pages of posts on this supernova theme make it extremely difficult to read. :geek: and to find THE adequate information in it.

I suggest Christian to build a little forum or a wiki concerning this theme,

thanks, anyway.

That is exactly what this topic is for, any & all issues with the Supernova Style. It may have 45 pages, but that just means alot of ppl like this style. Some styles have way more pages, some have only a few.

Don't forget, you also have to change the images.
I did the following:
I copied the whole dir of the existing red color theme which you can find here: styles/supernova/theme/images/red
And I renamed to for exampe orange.
I made a screenshot of my forum with the red color theme enabled and opened the screenshot with photoshop. There I looked what color each section/font has.

After knowing all existing colors, I did hue/saturnation on my screenshot. I changed the colors the way I liked it.

So now I know the default colors codes + colors codes I want.

I opened the .css of the copied red folder and I replaced the colors codes.

I hope you understand what I did.

Cheers,
Nawid

There seems to be a problem using Opera with this style. I noticed when switching pages, the page looks all white and it takes Opera a second to load the CSS like the pic below.

This problem only seems to be in Opera and I dont know a workaround for this...

I'm using this style on my forum and I see no errors with opera.

Try placing the link of the .css file a bit higher in the header. ?

Hello, I work it out, how to add avatar in top rightside mini control panel.

Here how to do:

Open: includes/functions.php
Find:

Code: Select all

// The following assigns all _common_ variables that may be used at any point in a template.
Add Before:

Code: Select all

// avatar
if (!function_exists('get_user_avatar'))
    {
        include($phpbb_root_path . 'includes/functions_display.' . $phpEx);
    }

Find:

Code: Select all

$template->assign_vars(array(
		'SITENAME'						=> $config['sitename'],
After Add On A New Line:

Code: Select all

'USER_AVATAR'      => ($user->data['user_avatar']) ? get_user_avatar($user->data['user_avatar'], $user->data['user_avatar_type'], ($user->data['user_avatar_width'] > $user->data['user_avatar_height']) ? 50 : (50 / $user->data['user_avatar_height']) * $user->data['user_avatar_width'], ($user->data['user_avatar_height'] > $user->data['user_avatar_width']) ? 50 : (50 / $user->data['user_avatar_width']) * $user->data['user_avatar_height']) : '',
		'S_AVATARS'                 => $user->optionget('viewavatars'),
In overall_header.html:
Find:

Code: Select all

<td rowspan="2"><div class="member-icon"></div></td><td>
Replace:

Code: Select all

<td rowspan="2"><div><!-- IF USER_AVATAR and S_AVATARS -->{USER_AVATAR}<!-- ELSE --><img src="{T_THEME_PATH}/images/who-is-online.png"/><!-- ENDIF -->
</div></td>
Snapshot: http://img220.imageshack.us/i/avatarintominicp.png/

Enjoy :)

Special Thanks to Steve for help me with bit of functions.php
