when you have enstalled subsilver3 there is then a problem (when subsilver3 is selected) in ACP when hitting the USERS tab

normally the "Find a member" screen will allow you search on many criteria

something in subsiver3 blocks this happening

if you then change to a diferent style on your site, "Find a member" works fine

switch back to "subsilver3" it doesn't again

I can hardly believe it's possible.
Deactivate/remove subsilver3 and its components, go to the first post and download the new version.
Subsilver3 uses template inheritance now.

This is the best port of subsilver theme to prosilver I have seen! Great job. Looking forward to seeing its official release in the Styles Database.

Hi there,

Has this style changed in the way it uses templates?

I downloaded it in early december (when I was brand new, I'm still a lightweight with this stuff) and have been using subsilver3 successfully since then. It uses the subsilver2 template.

I noticed now that you stated that prosilver must be installed (I have that too) and am wondering if I'm supposed to be using prosilver template?

The reason it came up is I am trying to install mchat and it works in subsilver2 and prosilver, but not subsilver3.

Thanks for any advice!

This style inherits the template files from Prosilver, so any edits you make to prosilver are instantly applied to this style as well. To install mChat on this style you'd only need to make the theme (CSS) edits, assuming the MOD is already installed on prosilver.

@bloomie

If you are using the first version then yes, see the posts above.

Thanks, Christian.

Technically, the mchat was working, but parts of it didn't - such as the scrolling of text and colors.

Upon closer examination, i found that the edits were correct, but they were in prosilver style and I had to copy the CSS files into the subsilver3 theme folders as well.

Now it is perfect. Thanks again...

follow up question - (sorry if this is dumb)

if I made changes to the logo or colors, and I upgrade to the newest version, will everything revert back to default settings?

I just want to make sure I can remember all the changes I've made in case I have to re-do them with the upgrade!

thanks...
