Re: [Release] proGreen, proDarkBlue, proGray, etc (phpBB 3.0.1)

Is this update necessary? I've updated my forum to 3.0.1 and kept the 3.0.0 version of the style, everything seems to work fine.

Re: [Tool] proSilver style editor (3.0.5)

A major update!

I'm proud to announce a new, improved ColorizeIt editor! Its a completely new script, not a simple upgrade from old version.

What's new in it:
- Completely new layout, which is easier to use for beginners.
Image
- You can change any color, including gray colors.
- In old version you could only change hue and saturation, in new version there are many more options: changing hue/saturation/luminosity, inverting colors, mixing colors. All those features are available in advanced mode. To switch to advanced mode you need to click a button on right side of color editor.
- Color picker. You can select colors directly from sample image. This feature is not available to Internet Explorer users, unless they have Google Chrome Frame plugin installed.
- Options for style downloads. You can select version of style you want to download.
Image
- You can match colors. Option is available in advanced mode (click middle button on right side of editor) or from popup (click right button on right side of editor).

Currently available layouts:

1. Default prosilver:

2. Prosilver SE (designed by styles team, posted with permission):
Image

Extra options:

1. You can select which side poster's profile will be at:
- Right side (like on this forum)
- Left side (see screenshot)
Image

Have fun customizing prosilver and other styles! If you have any questions or suggestions, please post them in this thread.

A note on Prosilver SE: its not exactly the same as style released by styles team. ColorizeIt parser parses it this way:
1. It copies standard proSilver style, parsing all colors.
2. It copies Prosilver SE files over it, overwriting files that already present in proSilver and parsing colors in those files.
3. It compresses directory and sends you zip file.

To reduce parsing time and to make updates easier, I've removed all files that are the same, kept cfg files from original proSilver. I've also changed css files: instead of overwriting prosilver css files with prosilver se css files, I've appended all prosilver se changes at the end of prosilver files.

For example, file theme/common.css in prosilver se generated by colorizeit it this:
- lines 0 - 633 are default common.css from prosilver
- lines 634 - end of file are prosilver se additions, they start with this code:

Code: Select all

/* SE code changes
---------------------------------------- */
This will make updating and modding style much easier because all original prosilver code is there.

Same applies for profile on the left side option: code changes are appended at the end of css files, marked with /* Profile on left side */ comment.

Added proSilver for phpBB 3.0.6 RC2. It is available only as an option that you can select, default style and Prosilver SE are for 3.0.5.

Wow, pretty awesome. Confusing and a little problems with the dragable elements, but after I got used to it, its pretty cool. If you are looking for more options how about the fluid/fixed width options along with the poster side.
Thanks :D

Which part is confusing? I'm trying to make it as friendly for new users as possible, so any tips are appreciated.

The element would be draggable from the title bar only and the mouse would change to move, I dragged it when I was playing with the slider.
In simple mode an indicator would help, like "original/source color" and "new color"
Maybe its only me but Add color takes much of the screen, maybe a minimize option?
And I think you already know this: some image edges does not blend in when using invert option.
