Robin Huurman wrote:really? I thought I added background: no-repeat. I'll note that for version B1.5
There is a mistake in colours.css:

Code: Select all

.bg1	{ background-image: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/bg_post_1.gif");
		  background-repeat: no-repeat;
		  background-color: #b8b8b8;}
.bg2	{ background-image: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/bg_post_2.gif");
		  background-repeat: repeat-y;
		  background-color: #7f7f7f; }
.bg3	{ background-image: url("{T_THEME_PATH}/images/bg_post_1.gif");
		  background-repeat: no-repeat;
		  background-color: #b8b8b8; }
Check it, and correct az .bg2 repeat-y into no-repeat :)

Ok. since I get flushed with questions on how to change the flash header, here's how to do it.

1. Open overall_header.html, you can find it in the template folder.

2. Remove the following code:

Code: Select all

<object classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" codebase="http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=6,0,29,0" width="860" height="220">
                <param name="movie" value="http://www.pandatales.org/shining_metal/styles/brushed_metal/theme/flash/header.swf">
                <param name="quality" value="high">
                <embed src="http://www.pandatales.org/shining_metal/styles/brushed_metal/theme/flash/header.swf" quality="high" pluginspage="http://www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="860" height="220"></embed></object>
3. Open common.css, you can find it in the theme folder.

4. Find the following code:

Code: Select all

#flash {
	width: 860px;
	height: 220px;
	padding-bottom: 10px;
}
5. Modify the code so it looks like this:

Code: Select all

#flash {
                background-image: url("PATH_TO_YOUR_IMAGE");
	width: 860px;
	height: 220px;
	padding-bottom: 10px;
}
6. Go to the admin control panel and refresh all the caches.

wow i love this.. can you give a date for when it will be completed? i would love to use it for my board.

Also is there a solution for big images posted? When someone posts a large image it cuts out the picture because it is not the same size as the board. Is there a way to either have the picture resized automatically or can you allow a scrollbar to appear if a big image is posted? ( I am not talking about an attached image but when someone posts an image normally)

I had this installed before absolutely fine, but now when i use it, it deonst format correctly, like the css isnt loading, because nothing is correctly aligned or using the corect fonts.

Until the release I have a version of this style in use with the prosilver image set and it works great, I replaced the flash header with my forum header and love the look of the site. I also keep a copy of the authors latest release in the options for testing and haven't had any issues with the css... have you tried reloading or refreshing your theme? Cleared the cache if you updated it?

The users have a number of options to choose from but this is our default theme currently, I have been upgrading and testing as the author releases her updates. Thanks Robin :)

The little images like the post reply and so on, the fonts borders are a little to thick.

Haha.... I see you posted ignore? I saw what the message was, don't worry no probs.

The zip is made out of more folder then normal.

images and styles, here's the structure:

Code: Select all

images
   smilies
styles
   brushed_metal
      theme
      templates
      imageset
Hopefully this makes things clear.

Btw. this is what he said:

the only thing that is wrong with it in my eyes is the posting page, bit too... well it just looks odd with the white text fields/areas, but apart from that its a great theme!
All MOD downloads should be back now - Sorry for that and serious lack of support! - If anyone wants to take over or help with any of my MODs the offer would be apreciated as I have little time for phpBB Modding recently!

Again very sorry for not supporting these MODs recently.
