[Development] Proglass Expanded for phpBB3 RC4

Post by spellsinger »

This is a modified version of a well known and popular phpBB3 style.
The difference is that this style is wider from the original.
It contains the original colors and images as SubBlue design it.

I have one issue with it.
In IE, the top logo is offset at the top of the page... I don't have a specific example but has anyone else reported this issue?

I love this style so I took a few hours to update Proglass to RC6. I let the author know but she has not gotten back to me..

Style Download:

You will have problems with your login page if you use this update with RC5 or older..

Update: Its not been updated for RC7.

The original author's demo doesnt work either.. She has abandoned this style.

This makes me very angry.

I only ask that you not alter the existing copyright (none) and that if you offer this style for download on your site that you include that I (the author) will not be offering any support or further development of this style. When Gold is released I plan to remake the style from scratch.

I had taken over the style and updated it for RC7. http://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopi ... 4&t=585165

And the demo is back up on http://www.phpbb3styles.net: http://demo.phpbb3styles.net/styles.php ... 63&lang=en

The original author pmed me tonight saying that since theres still so much demand for this style that he is going to reopen it. If he hadn't I was prepared to keep it up to date. I wasnt going to be changing anything but if any changes to prosilver were made I would add them to proglass.

I appreciate you keeping this alive without trying to take credit for it. I'm very disappointed that others would so casually slap their copyright on the style just because they changed the width.

Yea, I feel the same way. People change the color of the buttons for instance and then claim the entire style as their own. Or change the background and market it as a totally unique style.

I didn't feel that I had any right to slap a copyright of my own on Proglass just because I had updated it. I didnt put the time into it to make it look the way it does so I can't claim any part of it as my own.
