Nice! I think the colour switcher could be improved, as the animation starts after it's actually changed. Also, the colours in the box itself could be improved to reflect the actual colour styles.

Yeah, it does that for me to, but for the people with slower pc's and internet the images will take longer to load up and they wont see the color change before the animation.

Or I could just remove the animation all together, it doesn't serve any purpose really...

I'm not sure if I understand the problem, but with jQuery 1.4.2 there is the delay() method available. It may help then again it may not, I'm just not clear.

If I switch the themes over this new theme switcher, the font size are changed to the biggest one and the background is not shown correctly. If I set back to normal aero, it set the font size back.

Please tell me which browser you are using.

You could try clearing the cache and see if it's fix for you or maybe one of the files didnt upload all the way.

Ah, sorry, I want to write it, but forgot it. :?

I'm using Opera 10.62. If you change the style and then reload the page, it looks correctly. If you change then a style, it works correctly. Just for the first time on page and changing style, set your font size 20 or something.

Okay. some screens. Switching style on forum from blue to red:

Pressing F11 for fullscreen make it look like this:

Ok guys, made some changes, fixed the delay in the color changer and ect.

Re-download Aero then replace these files,

colour-switcher.js
overall_header.html
posting_review.html
posting_topic_review.html
search_results.html

Still looking into the Opera issue, problem happens very rarely for me though.
It's like Opera doesnt load the default main CSS... maybe a problem in Opera?

It's just appear if you use the default blue one and switch then to another style. If you have already red active and then switch to another style, it works without problems.

I dunno, if this could be a opera issue.

If you read on phpbbHQ (where this style came from), he has uploaded changes to fix that search bug.

My main problem is now this... if you set the style to a fixed width, the color changer and little search magnifier doesn't follow.

Colour switcher looks familiar :P

Great additions though, been a long time fan of this style. :)

Hmmm forgot about custom widths...

Fix for this,
in stylesheet.css

Find the area,
.mglass

Replace with,

Code: Select all

.mglass {
	background: none;
	border: none;
	height: 14px;
	width: 16px;
	position: relative;
	right: 2px;
	top: 3px;
}
Find the area,
.popup

Replace with,

Code: Select all

.popup {
	background-image: url('./images/popup.png');
	background-repeat: no-repeat;
	background-position: -0px -48px;
	height: 76px;
	width: 132px;
	position: relative;
	z-index: 3;
	top: 10px;
	right: 80px;
}
Not sure if this would work in other browsers other than Firefox.

I know some of you want the forum categories hide/show function to be able to remember it's state by a cookie.

So here is the update,
I am working on it and it's 95% complete although the rest im having problems with and there's 2 reasons for this.

1. First, I know very little javascript so it's gonna be harder to apply this function.
2. Second, It's a lot more complex since it has to be programmed to create a cookie for each category you have.
Now if it only had to make 1 cookie I would of been done with this function a long time ago.

So hopefully I can figure the rest out and include it in Aero.

Update 9/28,
Im happy to announce it is now working 99%, just some slight tweaks left to be made. Expect it to release soon.

Hi, I installed Aero on my forum and I have a little problem:
Edit, quote, etc. buttons appear only when blue forum color is selected.

I'm using Polish language on my forum. Maybe that's the cause of this problem. Can you help me to fix it?

It's the cause of this problem.
Simply duplicate /styles/aero/imageset/en to /styles/aero/imageser/pl ;) .
