Installing AutoMOD

Post by Extensions Robot »

The install instructions has moved to the AutoMOD FAQ in the customization database.

The support section there is also the new place to ask for support.

FAQ: What's my FTP Path?

Post by A_Jelly_Doughnut »

How do I determine my FTP Path?

If you use the FTP client FileZilla, it will tell you what the proper FTP path is. (I don't know about other clients because FZ is what I use). The path will appear in the "Remote Site" bar.

Otherwise, you can "build" it manually. Sign into FTP with your FTP client, and for every directory you enter, note it.

So I start at the root
/
Enter the "domains" directory
/domains/
Enter the "example.com" directory
/domains/example.com/
And finally "public_html"
/domains/example.com/public_html/

That would be my proper FTP path.

Updating AutoMOD Versions

To update from AutoMOD 1.0.0 Beta 1 to Beta 2, there are two steps:
  1. Overwrite the old AutoMOD files with the new files. To do this, take the files in the /upload/ directory, and use your FTP client to place them on your server in the phpBB root directory. Instruct your FTP client to overwrite any files that may already exist.
  2. Run the update script, which can be found at http://www.example.com/phpBB3/install/
You will need to click the "update" button and submit the form.
