after we installed a mod, do we have to delete or keep the folder in /store/mods

i would recommend it, especially since you may want to uninstall the MOD later on. you could also use it to double as a record of what MODs are installed on your board. ;)

The directory is not required for uninstallation. That information is stored in the database :)

There's no real need to keep it, but I usually do :)

ok then last question, is there a security risk to keep them? maybe better to remove them for security?

There shouldn't be any security risk from keeping the files. Worst someone might be able to find out what MODs you have installed. On the chance that there is a vulnerability in one of those MODs, that could be problematic.

YOu could set a .htaccess "deny" directive on the /store/mods/ directory. This would not affect AutoMOD's ability to work, but would prevent anyone accessing the files.

I disabled index on every folder, but they could still try /store/mods/acp_add_user_mod for example, and then see the server answer 'denied' instead of 'not found'

so if I remove/rename the mods folder inside /mods/, there is no problem right?
