I made a phpbb 3.0.9 board.

Subsilver 2 skin. I installed automod. I was able to install Instant Post Redirect, ReIMG Image Resizer and phpBB Statistics.

I put those along with a few other mods all in the styles/mods directory. But the other mods did not show up in the AutoMod uninstalled list.

Why? I tried googling and searching this forum without a solution.

they are mods such as Log Connections v1.0.3, password strength 1.0.2, username colour change, phpbb genders 1.0.2

I also tried uploading zipped file using automod and nothing appears. help?

I have exactly the same problem: MODs are present in the \store\mods\ directory, but aren't in the MODs list in ACP

If you didn't install them using Automod, then Automod won't know anything about them.

hi,

Not installed mods will normally appear as uninstalled in automod.

But they will not appear in the uninstalled list when there is no install.xml file available or the mod is packaged incorrectly. In that case they are not Automod compatible and you should contact the mod author(s).

Code: Select all

/store/mods/<modname>/install.xml
/store/mods/<modname>/root
/store/mods/<modname>/contrib
see also http://www.phpbb.com/mods/opening/

You sir, have just won 49 Intrawebs. I just spent 25 minutes beating my head against a wall trying to install Arty's mobile detection and his detect_mobile.xml file just needed to be renamed install.xml.

*sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh*
